1. Chicago Blackhawks
Returning to the Blackhawks would be a sentimental choice. Kane spent most of his career in Chicago winning three Stanley Cups and building his dynasty. He could help mentor young star Connor Bedard and bring experience to a rebuilding team in needs of some offense. Chicago can offer him a good deal financially, but Kane might prefer a team that is ready to win now since he is now near retirement.
2. Carolina Hurricanes
The Hurricanes have around $27 million in cap space, but they need to re-sign several key players of their roster. If they lose some of them in the UFA maybe Kane could step in and boost their offense. Carolina has struggled with scoring at times this season and Kane skills could be a great fit. 3. Boston Bruins
The Bruins are another good option, with about $20 million in cap space and a lot of roster spots to fill. They need more offensive power and Kane could provide just that with his impressive skills. It would be interesting to see him join a team he once competed against in the 2013 Stanley Cup Finals.
