Currently, the Canucks have three goaltenders under contract:
Thatcher Demko,
Nikita Tolopilo, and
Ty Young.
Arturs Silovs is set to become a restricted free agent but is expected to re-sign soon. Sawchenko, 26, signed a one-year contract last summer and played six AHL games with a 4-1-0 record, 2.12 GAA, and .924 SV%. During the Calder Cup Playoffs, he posted a 2-4 record, 2.96 GAA, and .898 SV%. The Canucks'goaltending strategy for the upcoming season remains uncertain, especially regarding Silovs' potential role as an NHL backup.
