With a lack of communication and commitment between Jeremy Swayman and the Boston Bruins, a rival team has a clear chance to make an offer sheet.

Swayman recently declined arbitration, causing many to question his commitment to the Bruins. The gap between Swayman and the Bruins in reaching a deal appears significant, potentially allowing another team to offer sheet him in an attempt to lure him away from the Bruins' organization.

Rumor has it that the rival Montreal Canadiens might be interested in submitting an offer sheet for Swayman, though it would come at a steep cost if the Bruins don't match it. Ty Anderson of 98.5 The Sports Hub has mentioned that if the Habs were to offer sheet Swayman, they would need to present a minimum offer of $9.1 million. If the Bruins choose not to match, the Canadiens would need to give up several draft picks as compensation to the Bruins. It's important to note that the Canadiens have ample draft picks available.

The Bruins' and Habs' rivalry is the oldest and most ferocious in the league. Should the Habs succeed in poaching Swayman from the Bruins, this rivalry will intensify to an unmatched level in NHL history.
