Here are 3 trade potential trade assets:
In December 2021, he signed a 12 million contract extension, Fabbri is coming off a good season with 18 goals which is a career high. Since his rookie season, he finished with 68 games played, which is his highest in career as well. Now, knowing he's injury prone, his value could be at his highest and the Wings could capitalize to have a player who is more consistent in term of health.
This one is more difficult as he's a fan favorite. With 2 years remaining on his 3.4 million contracts per year, Walman could be interesting for some teams. It is very unlikely they will trade him, but if there's a better defenseman available, anything is on the table.
As fast and physical defender, it would be hard to think that the Wings would trade Ben Chariot. He signed a 4 year contract in 2022 and has a 10-team-no-trade clause. However, his efficiency and skills, could attract other teams and who know what Yzerman might have under his sleeve to turn things around.
More to come.
