A major trade proposal involving Dylan Cozens and the Detroit Red Wings has just been tabled

The Detroit Red Wings and Buffalo Sabres have been popping up in trade talks lately, as Dylan Cozen remains a hot commodity on the market.
The Detroit Red Wings could stand to profit from a trade with the Buffalo Sabres. An interesting trade proposal has made the rounds, which sends Bowen Byram, and Dylan Cozens to Hockeytown.
The catch? The Red Wings will have to consider unloading some of their best prospects in Buffalo in order to acquire Byram and Cozens.

The deal proposed would send Albert Johansson, Michael Brandsegg-Nygard, Michael Rasmussen, and first round pick in return.
The deal would help bolster the Red Wings devastated blue line, and solidify the team's center depth which lately, has looked a little thin.
Given the recent news that GM Steve Yzerman would be willing to part ways with his top prospects and a first-round pick to acquire top NHL players, this isn't unreasonable.
Of course, that is if you want to make a deep run in the postseason after making it into the playoffs as a wild-card team.
If they don't load up on the right talent now, this spot in the Eastern Conference could be gone in the blink of an eye.
The Metropolitan Division is one of the more competitive divisions in the NHL as of late.
As it stands, the Wings have hardly the kind of depth needed to make a long run, as J.T. Compher while a skilled centerman, isn't a true 2C in the NHL.
They need to prioritize that spot for someone like Cozens, and likewise find a way to make a spot for Bowen Byram at this point.
The time for GM Steve Yzerman to strike is now before the big trades happen on March 7th.
