The Detroit Red Wings had won 7-of-8 games before the 4 Nations Faceoff break, and they're back at practice in preparation for the resuming of the NHL schedule.

With only a single game remaining in the 4 Nations Faceoff, the Detroit Red Wings are back at practice at Little Caesars Arena in preparation for Saturday afternoon's game against the Minnesota Wild (12:30 PM, ABC, ESPN+, 97.1 The Ticket)
They had won 7-of-8 games before last Saturday's 6-3 loss to the divisional foe Tampa Bay Lightning, which halted their winning streak.
Andrew Copp spoke following today's practice and revealed what the demand of coach Todd McLellan was, noting that mental stamina is a large part of getting back into the groove of things.
[Red Wings head coach Todd McLellan] has been trying to make sure we're paying attention to the details. We're staying in shifts kind of long to make sure that we're not only physically ready, but our minds are ready to be at tip-top [shape] for games that last three hours.

You can replicate as much as you want in practice, but we're only out there for an hour. It's hard to have that mental stamina to stay in a game for 2.5 - 3 hours after two weeks off.

Ten days is a long time to be away from the rink no matter if you're skating, working out or doing nothing. You need these four days. It's been pretty upbeat and energetic so far. I think guys are excited to get back.

Dylan Larkin and the Americans will attempt to secure the 4 Nations Faceoff title

While the rest of his Red Wings teammates have returned to practice in preparation for the resumption of the NHL schedule, Dylan Larkin and the rest of his American teammates continue their own preparations for Thursday night's title game against Canada.
Larkin scored the game winner against Canada on Saturday night, giving the Americans an upset 3-1 victory in Montreal.
