Angry Detroit Red Wings can't believe Sebastian Cossa isn't starting vs. Buffalo
The Detroit Red Wings announced that Sebastian Cossa will not get his 1st start yet, and fans are not happy about it.
The Detroit Red Wings are in dire need of two points tonight as they take on the Buffalo Sabres in Western New York (7:00 PM, FanDuel Sports Detroit, 97.1 The Ticket).
But with Alex Lyon and Cam Talbot still unavailable, Detroit brought up highly-regarded prospect Sebastian Cossa from the AHL.
Despite the desire to see him pick up his 1st NHL start against the struggling Sabres, the wishes of fans were not granted.
Ville Husso, whom it would be unfair to say that he hasn't played well in his last three starts, will make a 4th straight start as announced by coach Derek Lalonde.
The announcement , drew the wrath of fans who wanted a glimpse of Cossa at the NHL level.
Ken what are we doing here? If he's not going to play he needs reps in GR, but he also should play, Buffalo hasn't won in 2.5 weeks.
Trash decision by coaching staff. No good having Cossa sitting on the bench for over a week.
That's what happens when a lame duck coach is coaching for his job and not what's best for our players.
I know Lolande enters the lineup but at this point Yzerman should be telling him he has to play Cossa. Why bring him up???
Not watching until cossa plays. Might be next season before I watch again. This isn't fun.
Lol, okay I've had it with Lalonde. That's actually insane.
Sebastian Cossa was brought up thanks to multiple goalie injuries
After the injury to Cam Talbot, the Red Wings called up Cossa from the AHL; he's served as backup to Husso.
