Instead, the Swedish defenseman will continue developing with Skelleftea in the Swedish Hockey League (SHL).
On the other hand, Michael Brandsegg-Nygard was selected 15th overall in the 2024 NHL Draft and has already begun showcasing his skills in the SHL preseason. Known for his powerful shot, he immediately scored a top-shelf one-timer in his debut game. Michael Brandsegg-Nygard's attendance at the Detroit Red Wings camp will allow fans and management to evaluate his readiness for the NHL further.
