The Detroit Red Wings face another divisional foe tomorrow night, taking on the Ottawa Senators; head coach Derek Lalonde has named the starting goalie.

Following last night's disappointing 3-2 overtime loss to the Boston Bruins, the Detroit Red Wings wrap up their divisional road trip by clashing with the Ottawa Senators for the first time this year.

While there are fans who were hoping that the Red Wings would give goaltender Sebastian Cossa his 1st career NHL start, that will have to wait for another day.

Coach Derek Lalonde announced this afternoon that the Red Wings would be going right back to Ville Husso in net tomorrow night against the Senators (7:00 PM, FanDuel Sports Detroit, 97.1 The Ticket.)

We're going to go back with Ville. I think it was more the type of game he played, he's done great for us under very tough circumstances and situation.

He's gotten points in back to back games for us, he played a very solid game.

Lalonde said that while the team has confidence in Cossa, they'd rather give Husso the opportunity to build off his performance from last night, in which he stopped 32 shots from the Bruins.

We have full confidence in Coss, and we have no problem going to him tomorrow but we're just going to build off of what Ville did the last couple of games.

But there's no doubt that Lalonde sees the value in Cossa being brought up from Grand Rapids and getting to experience, albeit briefly, what life is like in the NHL.

I think it's huge, just being around the group and the comfort level of the group. Just get work with our goalie coach.

I don't think people realize what goes into morning skates and what goes into practice days like this, the type of reps he gets to build off of.

Husso was called up from the AHL himself after an injury to goaltender Alex Lyon last week in practice, while Cossa was called up following Talbot's injury on Friday against the New Jersey Devils.
