The Detroit Red Wings will start the 2024-2025 NHL regular season with back-to-back home games against Pittsburgh on Oct. 10 and Nashville on Oct. 12.

Seven of their first 11 games will be at Little Caesars Arena, but they'll face a tough finish with five of their last six and 10 of their final 15 games on the road.

The schedule includes two four-game homestands (December 23-31 and January 7-14) and four four-game road swings (November 13-18, January 16-21, January 30-February 4, and March 18-25). A highlight is their outdoor game on March 1 against the Columbus Blue Jackets in Ohio State's stadium as part of the NHL's Stadium Series.

Key games feature the New Year's Eve matchup against Sidney Crosby and the Penguins on December 31, the Thanksgiving Eve game against the Calgary Flames on November 25, and a Black Friday matinee against the New Jersey Devils on November 26. The Red Wings will host the Toronto Maple Leafs twice in December, the Stanley Cup champion Florida Panthers on April 6, and the new Utah Hockey Club on March 6. Jake Walman and the San Jose Sharks visit on January 14, while David Perron and the Ottawa Senators come on January 7 and March 27.
