The excitement hasn't died down for Red Wings captain Dylan Larkin, who remains as thrilled as ever to have contributed to the American win over Canada.

In what has already become one of the biggest moments of his professional career, Detroit Red Wings captain Dylan Larkin scored the game-winning goal for the Americans in their 3-1 win over Canada on Saturday night.
The goal came after Larkin was promoted in the lineup to the 3rd line; he had played only around 11 minutes and was on the 4th line during their previous game, a 6-1 win over Finland.
And the excitement hasn't died down for Larkin, who is still feeling the thrill of the goal and win.
It's still settling in. It was a big goal for our team and honestly, kind of cool to say for our country and USA Hockey. It felt great to contribute to the win like that on a stage like that. A big game with all the big players, so it was really special. It's something I'm proud of and will be for a long time.

And with his father Kevin and his wife in the crowd, it made the goal all the more special.
My family means the world to me. To have that moment and see them, and for my wife to be there as well, is just so special. My family has helped me all along the way. They're my biggest supporters and fans. I know my dad, mom, brother and wife were just beaming with pride and that's really everything to me. It was such a cool moment.

Larkin was one of two Red Wings players selected to compete in the 4 Nations Faceoff; the other was Lucas Raymond, who plays for Sweden.
Larkin and the Americans will actually play Raymond and Sweden later tonight.
