According to NHL insider Elliotte Friedman, the Detroit Red Wings could be considering moving on from first-year forward Vladimir Tarasenko.

One of the offseason moves that Detroit Red Wings general manager Steve Yzerman made was the signing of forward Vladimir Tarasenko, who had just won his 2nd Stanley Cup with the Florida Panthers.

However, things haven't exactly worked out according to plan. The veteran forward only has 7 goals in 53 games, a far cry from his typical offensive output.

Could Red Wings general manager Steve Yzerman already be thinking of making a move? NHL insider Elliotte Friedman hinted that the Red Wings could be making a move soon.

I've just heard, in his particular case, there's been some conversation around him and we'll see how this all develops.

Vladimir Tarasenko scored his 300th career goal in Saturday's loss to the Lightning

One of the positives from yesterday's loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning at Little Caesars Arena was the fact that Tarasenko scored his 300th career goal.

Head coach Todd McLellan singled out Tarasenko's performance for praise, noting that he wasn't part of Detroit's defensive woes while also bringing a physical element to the game.

I thought that [Tarasenko] had a real good game tonight. Did a lot of things well. He was not at the scene of the crime, if you will, for any of the five or six goals against. He found a way to score. I thought he had brought some physicality to his game.

The Trade Deadline is now less than a month away (March 7); we'll be keeping our eyes peeled to see if Yzerman decides to make a move involving Tarasenko.
