Detroit Red Wings forward Lucas Raymond is one of a handful of players who will be participating in the 4 Nations Face-off later this month; he'll represent Sweden.

The Detroit Red Wings are in Seattle tonight for a game against the Kraken, which will be their 2nd and final game against them this year (10:00 PM, FanDuel Sports Detroit, 97.1 The Ticket).

The Red Wings thoroughly beat the Kraken 6-2 last month at Little Caesars Arena; they took a 4-0 lead in the 1st period and cruised to a win.

Tonight, they face Seattle at Climate Pledge Arena, marking Detroit's 4th visit to the venue since the Kraken joined the NHL in 2021-22.

Later this month, a handful of Red Wings players including Lucas Raymond will be participating in the 4 Nations Face-off, a tournament featuring NHL players from Canada, the United States, Sweden and Finland.

Before today's game against the Kraken, Raymond spoke about staying in the moment for the Red Wings but noted that there is also excitement building.

It's coming quick. It's gonna be a really fun tournament, just to experience that and play in those type of games. So, I'm excited for that but obviously right now, you don't think about it a lot.

You kind of let that come when you play that final game against Tampa, so it is what it is, but most of the guys are excited.

Also participating in the tournament will be Red Wings captain Dylan Larkin, who will represent the United States. However, goaltender Cam Talbot missed out on the cut for Team Canada; he was being considered as one of the potential goaltenders.
