Heading into the summer, Detroit Red Wings fans knew that Moritz Seider and Lucas Raymond would be high priorities. They are both restricted free agents and are extremely important to the future of the club. Well, according to The Hockey News, the Red Wings have $17 million in cap space to work with in order to pay them. This is all thanks to the job Steve Yzerman did while signing other players within the franchise.
It remains to be seen when deals will get done with Raymond and Seider. However, the team does have the money to pay them both. Simply put, Red Wings fans can breathe a sigh of relief.
