The Red Wings are not looking at trading for a goalie
The Red Wings struggled with goaltending last year but will likely stick with their duo of Ville Husso and Alex Lyon for the upcoming season.
Husso had a decent season before being injured and Lyon really stepped up this season proving he can be relied upon as a number 1 goaltender as well.
While the market this summer if full of great goalies which includes Filip Gustavsson, Linus Ullmark and Jacob Markstrom, the Wings currently have two solid netminders plus a few great prospects in the AHL.
The Griffins will have Sebastian Cossa and Jan Bednar next season who both had great seasons in the AHL and will likely be able to make the jump to the NHL soon.
This is the main reason why there is no point in acquiring a goalie because even if their current duo does not work out they have some serious talent in the pipeline.
