Welcome to the real offseason, where everything is quiet, and we all get bored.

While there's not much Red Wings news, an NHL.com feature on 2024 first-round pick Michael Brandsegg-Nygård is worth reading.

It highlights his relationship with Axel Sandin-Pellikka and includes quotes from GM Steve Yzerman:

"I think he plays a pretty responsible game for a young guy. When we all played junior, we worried about scoring. We didn't check. He's just got a really well-rounded game to him. I just think he's a guy who could play in all situations. He can play either wing, a lot of different spots on the power play.»

Former Red Wing Anders Myrvold also shared some perspective on the newest top prospect.

Now, let's discuss Detroit's perfect top-six forwards for next season. Here's one possible lineup:

Kane-Larkin-Raymond
Tarasenko-Compher-DeBrincat

It's a pretty solid top six, and Nate Danielson might also get a look at the second-line center in camp. This second-line center position will be pivotal to the team's success, a topic we'll have plenty of time to discuss over the next month.
