Trade between the Detroit Red Wings and Blackhawks has just been addressed

Now that Red Wings forward Andrew Copp is gone for the rest of the year with injury, could Steve Yzerman be preparing for a deal with the Chicago Blackhawks?
The Detroit Red Wings confirmed the unfortunate news that forward Andrew Copp is finished for the rest of the year; he suffered a pectoral injury during Detroit's 3-2 OT loss to the Minnesota Wild last Saturday and underwent successful surgery.
Because he'll be on Long Term Injured Reserve, it will open up considerable salary cap space for general manager Steve Yzerman to utilize toward bringing in reinforcements to compensate for Copp's loss.
Enter the Chicago Blackhawks, the worst team in the NHL's Western Conference, who will likely be undergoing a fire sale of assets as the Trade Deadline approaches.
One expiring contract they could move is Ryan Donato, who already has a career-best 19 goals in 56 games played.
The Hockey News writes that the Red Wings could consider swinging a trade for Donato in the immediate future:
The Blackhawks have some trade assets, but the player that fits Detroit's immediate needs is Ryan Donato. While there is still a chance Chicago gets him re-signed, it becomes clearer with every passing day that the team won't be able to. There's no logical reason to keep Donato without a contract through the trade deadline.
That being said, the Blackhawks should be seeing if there's interest in Donato by the Red Wings now. Copp and Donato are different players, but that's okay if Donato can still do a job and continue playing similarly to how he has this season with the Blackhawks.
Donato wouldn't have the same role in Detroit and I believe both teams know that, so that may limit the return to Chicago. It was initially believed that he would go for a third round pick, and while the 28-year-old has played very well this season, I think that's still the asking price.
