6'6 defenseman set to hit the free agent market
According to insider Elliotte Friedman, Canucks defenseman Nikita Zadorov will be testing free agency after he was unable to reach an agreement with Vancouver.
Friedman said that the two parties were not that far apart in negotiations but it got to the point where neither of them wanted to budge which is why Zadorov will be signing elsewhere.
Elliotte said it's unlikely Zadorov is re-signing.
He heard Canucks weren't far away from his asking price but it got to a point where neither side was willing to budge even though Zadorov was willing to leave money on the table to stay with the Canucks.
Since the Red Wings are looking to make some changes on defense this summer, bringing in Zadorov could be a huge benefit.
