The rematch with the Americans is officially set for Canada after their 5-3 win yesterday, and Connor McDavid is already sending a message ahead of the matchup.
Connor McDavid and the Canadians may have been defeated 3-1 on Saturday night by the Americans, but they want them to know that things aren't done just yet.
Canada advanced to the championship game of the 4 Nations Faceoff with their 5-3 win over Finland, while the Americans lost for the 1st time, 2-1 to Sweden.
They'll meet each other on Thursday night for a winner-take-all game, and McDavid had the following to say.
It was fast, tight-checking, competitive, emotional. It had everything you would want in a hockey game. It sucks it didn't go our way, but this thing's far from over.
The Canadians and Americans will play on Thursday at 8:00 PM (ESPN, ESPN+).

Larkin later spoke about how special it felt to score the goal for his team and country:
It's still settling in. It was a big goal for our team and honestly, kind of cool to say for our country and USA Hockey. It felt great to contribute to the win like that on a stage like that. A big game with all the big players, so it was really special. It's something I'm proud of and will be for a long time.
