A tragic cottage fire in Prince Edward Island claimed the life of junior hockey player Noah Latimer and injured three of his teammates.

The four hockey teammates were enjoying a weekend at the cottage when the fire broke out. Latimer, a Cole Harbour Colts player, was killed, while the others sustained injuries, one seriously.
The RCMP is investigating the incident. The Truro Bearcats, where all four players had previously been members, expressed their sorrow on social media, stating :
"We are absolutely heartbroken to hear about the tragic accident involving four of our alumni this past weekend, resulting in the loss of one of our own. Noah Latimer played parts of two seasons with the Bearcats in 2021/22 and 2022/23. Rest easy 22, forever in our hearts."

Born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Noah Latimer played most of his games there, with some in New Brunswick. Deepest condolences to his family and friends.
