The Sharks announced earlier this afternoon that Ryan Warsofsky will be the team's newest head coach.

There's a new bench boss in San Jose #TheFutureIsTeal

Introducing Head Coach Ryan Warsofsky!

Warsofsky was an assistant coach with the Sharks for the last two seasons and prior to that was the head coach of the Chicago Wolves in the AHL where he led them to a Calder Cup.
The new head coach of the San Jose Sharks is quite young but has an impressive track record at only 36 years old.
The hire reminds many of when the Tampa Bay Lightning hired a 45-year-old Jon Cooper in 2013. He also had a Calder Cup under his belt. He's still the Bolts coach and all he's done is win back-to-back Stanley Cups in four appearances. He's also guided the Lightning to the Eastern Conference finals six times and Tampa Bay's three straight trips to the Cup finals has started a streak of five consecutive Cup finals going through the state of Florida.
So perhaps this will turn into a similar hire in the "other" Sunshine State?
