As the Detroit Red Wings are back on the ice against the Devils; they're expected to be without key members of the roster that could prove costly.

The Detroit Red Wings have gotten points in four of their last five games, putting them in a more favorable position in the Atlantic Division.

They return to the ice this afternoon against the New Jersey Devils (3:00 PM, FanDuel Sports Detroit, 97.1 The Ticket).

Unfortunately; they're expected to be without a pair of players who have been key to their success.

Forward Patrick Kane is anticipated to miss his third straight game with an upper body injury, while goaltender Alex Lyon remains out after he tweaked something earlier in the week during practice.

The anticipated line combinations for this afternoon are as follows:

Tarasenko-Larkin-Raymond

DeBrincat-Compher-Motte

Veleno-Kasper-Berggren

Rasmussen-Copp-Fischer

Edvinsson-Seider

Chiarot-Petry

Johansson-Holl

Cam Talbot gets his second straight start.

Meanwhile, the Devils will counter with the following lines:

Coter-Hischier-Noesen

Palat-J.Hughes-Bratt

Foote-Haula-Mercer

Bowers-Dowling-Tatar

Dillon-Hamilton

L.Hughes-Pesce

Siegenthaler-Kovacevic

Jacob Markstrom starts for the Devils.

The Red Wings last earned a 5-3
victory over the Devils in October thanks to the game-winning goal from Patrick Kane.

The Red Wings won't see the Devils again this season until the two teams play near the end of the regular season on April 16 in New Jersey.
