Big Detroit Red Wings prospect back on ice after season-ending injury
Noah Dower Nilsson's return to the ice marks an encouraging step in his development after a challenging, injury-riddled season.
The Detroit Red Wings ' 2023 third-round pick played in two preseason games for Frölunda in the SHL, showing progress after being sidelined most of last season by two shoulder surgeries. While his first game back against Leksands IF was quiet, he contributed more offensively in the second game against Färjestad, setting up a goal with a blocked shot.
Last season was largely a wash due to injuries, with Noah Dower Nilsson undergoing extensive lower-body training while his shoulders healed. This season is pivotal for him to regain his form and demonstrate his offensive potential. With his skating and defensive play areas needing improvement, his performance this year will be closely monitored as he works to solidify his status as a promising prospect in the Red Wings' system.
