Heading into this season, Dylan Larkin has 506 points in 652 games. These are some solid totals. As it turns out, the Michigan-born player could very well become the highest-scoring Michigan-born player in the history of the NHL. However, in order to do that, he must surpass Mike Modano.
According to The Hockey News, Modano has 1,374 points in 1,499 games. This means Larking needs well over 800 points to break the record. That said, when you consider Larkin's point totals, it is not out of the question. Regardless, his consistency will have to be top-tier for years to come. If he does it in a Detroit Red Wings jersey, it would be that much more special.
