Darren McCarty reacts to major report that Detroit Red Wings GM Steve Yzerman is being handcuffed

Former Detroit Red Wings forward Darren McCarty is offering his reaction to the report from his Woodward Sports Network co-host Terry Foster that GM Steve Yzerman could be handcuffed.
A substantial report from Woodward Sports host and former longtime journalist Terry Foster has gained traction in recent days.
Foster said that Red Wings GM Steve Yzerman was in heavy negotiations with former Tampa Bay Lightning captain Steven Stamkos, offering him a three-year deal before the Nashville Predators dropped in with a four year deal.
According to Foster, Yzerman said that he'd be willing to match Nashville's offer of a fourth year, but he needed to run it by ownership first - but the problem was that he reportedly never heard back.
He goes to Chris Ilitch, saying we can get Steven Stamkos, I know he's a little bit old but he can still play. I offered him three years, Nashville offered him four.
Chris Ilitch said I'll get back to you. Yzerman said get back, because this needs to be quick, I need to hear from you today or tomorrow.
He never heard back from the man. Nothing. Crickets.

The rest is history. Stamkos signed a four year deal with the Predators, while the Red Wings eventually landed Vladimir Tarasenko, who has only scored twice.
Former Red Wings forward Darren McCarty, another co-host on Woodward Sports Network, emphasized his belief in Foster's report given his history as a respected journalist and longtime radio host.
If it's Terry Foster saying it, from not only the history they have but that he's someone you go to for his opinion because he's been there.
So, what that tells me is the perception of what I even believe of how communication goes, it's more Three Mile Island. I have no idea why. But does that not track with what we're watching with our baseball team?
