The hockey world witnessed a troubling scene on Sunday evening involving NHL prospect Ole Julian Bj�rgvik, when the Cleveland Monsters took on the Belleville Senators in an AHL matchup.
Ole Julian Bj�rgvik Holm is a prospect of the Columbus Blue Jackets organization, acquired by the organization in the 2020 NHL draft.
The 22-year old 2002 born defenseman was born in Norway, and made the leap in 2018 to live full-time in the United States to pursue his dream of playing hockey, where it ultimately paid off.
Playing for the Colorado Thunderbirds 16U AAA in his first year in the United States, which quickly lead to his arrival in the Ontario Hockey League with the Mississauga Steelheads.
Unfortunately for Bj�rgvik, he has not found stability at the NHL level as he has bounced between the AHL and ECHL, and now he faces another major setback in his early on career.

He's finally found his footing at the AHL level, but it comes to a halt with a scary injury.
The 6'3" defenseman had to be stretchered off the ice after suffering a hit from behind by 28-year old Ottawa Senators signee, Hayden Hodgson.
There has since been no update on the condition of Ole Julian Bj�rgvik, the hockey community is eagerly waiting to hear positive news with their fingers crossed.
Hodgson, a career-long AHL player, has over 100-penalty minutes in just 29 games last season. In the 2023-24 year, he tallied a whopping 116 penalty minutes in 49 games played.
