The New York Rangers have signed forward Adam Erne to a professional tryout (PTO) contract, allowing the 29-year-old to earn a spot on their roster during training camp.

Last season, Erne appeared in 24 games for the Oilers, tallying just one goal and one assist while averaging 7:49 of ice time. Originally drafted by the Lightning in the second round of the 2013 NHL Draft, Erne was traded to the Red Wings in 2019, where he played several seasons before joining Edmonton. He now looks to prove his value with the Rangers as he competes for a spot on their roster.
Adam Erne has played eight seasons in the NHL, with stints on the Tampa Bay Lightning, Detroit Red Wings, and Edmonton Oilers, accumulating 41 goals, 50 assists, and 91 points in 379 career games.
