The Red Wings have announced a key roster move following last night's win over the Flyers at Little Caesars Arena.

The Detroit Red Wings got the job done last night at Little Caesars Arena, taking down the Flyers by a 6-4 final score earning their 2nd victory in a row; it was also their third win in the last four games.

On Thursday afternoon, the Red Wings announced that goaltender Ville Husso, who was called up from the AHL thanks to injuries to both Cam Talbot and Alex Lyon, has been returned to the Grands Rapids Griffins.

Husso had been playing well for Detroit (other than last Monday's disastrous start against the Buffalo Sabres in which he was pulled after 20 minutes).

The team activated Alex Lyon from Injured Reserve, and he picked up the win against the Flyers despite allowing four goals (including the 1st shot of the game).

Husso picked up his 1st win since last December with his strong performance against the Maple Leafs in which he made several highlight-reel saves, including on Chris Tanev in the opening few minutes as well as stopping Mitch Marner on a breakaway attempt in the 3rd period.

Understandably, it was a good feeling for Husso..

It feels, feels good. It's been kind of a tough go there last year, injuries and this year like no wins. So just keep, keep grinding.

They teach us at a young age in Finland and just trust yourself and do your job. It's not always easy, but it was nice to get the win for sure tonight.

Should the Red Wings have given Ville Husso more playing time after his performance against the Leafs?
