The facial expression on the face of Red Wings star Lucas Raymond during last night's 4-0 shutout loss to the Blues encapsulated what frustrated fans are feeling.

The Detroit Red Wings are in serious trouble as they enter the holiday break, having lost three straight games and failing to register a single point in the standings.

After last night's 4-0 loss at Little Caesars Arena to the St. Louis Blues, they find themselves in the second-to-last spot in both the Atlantic Division and the Eastern Conference; they're ahead of only the Buffalo Sabres, who broke a 13-game winless skid last night.

During the 3rd period (after the Red Wings finally were able to reach double-digits in their shot total), forward Lucas Raymond soon went viral on social media for his heartbreaking facial expression that seemed to perfectly capture not only the overall mood of the team but of the fan base.

Detroit is off for the next three days before the Toronto Maple Leafs return to Little Caesars Arena for the 2nd time this month; the Red Wings beat the Leafs 4-2 on December 15.

Lucas Raymond had been red-hot before this current Red Wings slump

Prior to the current Red Wings losing skid, Raymond had been among the hotter players in the League.

He had scored 11 goals in 13 games, but like many of his teammates, has gone pointless in his last three games.

Additionally, the Red Wings as a whole have managed just a single goal in the last six total periods of hockey.
