Red Wings forward Lucas Raymond has emerged not only as one of the team's top players, but demonstrates leadership skills that will help the club in the long run.

The Detroit Red Wings dropped a disappointing 2-1 final in overtime to the Philadelphia Flyers in last night's game, meaning they've now earned only three of a possible eight points on their 4-game road swing.

While Ben Chiarot scored the Red Wings' lone goal, they got a better performance in net from Alex Lyon, who had previously allowed three 1st period goals in their 4-1 loss to the Dallas Stars earlier in the week.

Forward Lucas Raymond , who assisted on Chiarot's goal, wasn't happy that the Red Wings limited themselves to a single goal in each of the last three games.

We limited them to two goals, one in overtime. Our defensive structure was really good most of the time, especially desperation around the net.

But, it's not a successful trip in our point of view. We have a couple of these games that we want to get back and it's about learning from it.

A positive aspect the Red Wings will look toward is that their defensive structure was improved and they limited the breakdowns that lead to a combined 9 goals against in the losses to the Stars and the divisional foe Tampa Bay Lightning earlier in the road trip.

The loss put the Red Wings 5 points back of the final Wild Card spot in the Eastern Conference.

How concerning is it that the Red Wings scored a single goal in each of the last 3 games?
