As the Detroit Red Wings inch closer to their contention window, it's worth speculating which players could win individual NHL awards in the future.

The last Red Wing to win an individual award was Moritz Seider, who claimed the Calder Memorial Trophy for Rookie of the Year during the 2021-22 season. Before him, Nicklas Lidstrom won the James Norris Memorial Trophy as the league's best defenseman in the 2010-11 season.
While the current roster may not boast immediate frontrunners for most awards, there are several potential candidates. Dylan Larkin, Lucas Raymond, and Moritz Seider could contend for the Hart Memorial Trophy, with Larkin and Raymond also being strong candidates for the Conn Smythe Trophy. Seider remains the team's best bet for the Norris Trophy, while Larkin could vie for the Selke Trophy for his defensive prowess. Patrick Kane, known for his clean play, might be a contender for the Lady Byng Memorial Trophy.
Prospects like Sebastian Cossa and Trey Augustine could elevate the team's future goaltending to Vezina Trophy contention. For now, the Red Wings continue to build their case for future individual accolades.
