The Red Wings lost for the 1st time since Dec. 27 on Tuesday night, and they've confirmed lineup changes for tonight's game against the Florida Panthers.

TheDetroit Red Wings had their season-high 7-game winning streak come to an end on Tuesday night, as they lost 6-3 to the San Jose Sharks at Little Caesars Arena.

But they're right back at it tonight, as they begin a 4-game road trip with a stop at Amerant Bank Arena to play the Florida Panthers (7:00 PM, FanDuel Sports Detroit, 97.1 The Ticket).

Thanks to the injury to Tyler Motte, the Red Wings have confirmed that Christian Fischer will slot back into the lineup; he's not played since late December.

Head coach Todd McLellan has also confirmed that goaltender Cam Talbot will return to the crease tonight for the Red Wings, who didn't get the best performance from Ville Husso in the loss to San Jose on Tuesday.

Tonight will mark the first time that former Panthers forward Vladimir Tarasenko returns to Amerant Bank Arena since he helped them win the Stanley Cup last year over the Edmonton Oilers; he was acquired by Florida from the Ottawa Senators at the Trade Deadline.

The Red Wings also remain without defenseman Jeff Petry, who was hurt against the Columbus Blue Jackets on January 2 and hasn't played since.

Additionally, the Red Wings did confirm before the trip that injured goaltender Alex Lyon would be accompanying them on this road swing, but it wasn't known when he might potentially make a return to the ice.

For now, it appears that Husso will back up Talbot for tonight's game.
