Red Wings prospects shine in victory over Dallas Stars
The Detroit Red Wings prospects wrapped up a two-game sweep of the Dallas Stars prospects with a 3-2 win at Centre I.C.E. Arena.
Alexandre Doucet and Hunter Johannes each tallied a goal and an assist, showcasing their chemistry as the Red Wings gear up for training camp. Alexandre Doucet, signed as a free agent last year, opened the scoring with his third goal in two games after burying a rebound from Hunter Johannes' shot. Later, Alexandre Doucet set up Hunter Johannes for a one-timer to break a 1-1 tie.
Emmitt Finnie extended the lead with a power-play goal in the third, capitalizing on a cross-ice pass from Jakub Rychlovsky. In goal, Carter Gylander and Landon Miller split duties, with Carter Gylander stopping all 12 shots in 30 minutes and Landon Miller making 16 saves on 18 shots. With several prospects expected to join the Grand Rapids Griffins this season, this win offered a promising glimpse into the future.
