Steve Yzerman exposed as a soccer fan
With the 2024 Euro football tournament well underway, Steve Yzerman made some shocking comments which has exposed him as a huge soccer enthusiast.
"My name is Dutch, and I'm a Virgil Van Dijk fan," Yzerman said Friday, a few hours ahead of the Dutch taking on France in the 2024 UEFA European Championship.
The general manager for the Detroit Red Wings is a passionate soccer fan, particularly for the dutch side who are taking on the french national team on friday afternoon. Team Netherlands had a strong start to the tournament as they edged out team Poland during their first match, but Yzerman has mixed feeling about their Friday matchup against France.
"I think the French are too strong," Yzerman said.
