Todd McLellan releases critical update on injured goalie Alex Lyon
Detroit Red Wings head coach Todd McLellan has given a very optimistic update on the health of goaltender Alex Lyon, who was hurt earlier in the month.
Detroit Red Wings goaltender Alex Lyon was hurt once again this year earlier in the month, having to leave Detroit's 3-2 overtime win over the Ottawa Senators at Little Ceasars Arena.
In his place, the Red Wings re-called goaltender Ville Husso from the Grand Rapids Griffins, though he wasn't at his best during Tuesday's 6-3 loss to the San Jose Sharks.
The good news for the Red Wings is that Lyon has been an active participant in practice and could even potentially be available when Detroit takes on the Dallas Stars tomorrow at American Airlines Arena (8:00 PM, FanDuel Sports Detroit, 97.1 The Ticket).
