Montreal Canadiens prospect Florian Xhekaj drops the gloves and deals with a pest from the Toronto Maple Leafs
Florian Xhekaj, the young forward who stands 6 feet 4 inches and weighs 190 pounds, wasted no time making his presence known at the Montreal Canadiens' rookie camp.
Just 1 minute and 55 seconds into the game, Xhekaj dropped the gloves, signalling his intent to set the tone early. Following in the footsteps of his older brother, the "Sheriff," Florian already shows that he knows how to make a strong impression.
Drafted in the 4th round of the 2023 NHL Draft (101st overall), Xhekaj had an impressive season in the OHL with 65 points in 63 games, including 34 goals. At 20 years old, he's looking to surprise and earn a spot on the Canadiens' roster this season.
