Patrick Kane has been absent from the Detroit Red Wings lineup for the last handful of games, but is there some light at the end of the tunnel?

The Detroit Red Wings have been missing forward and future Hall of Famer Patrick Kane for the last four games, including yesterday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Vancouver Canucks at Little Caesars Arena.

They're preparing for a two-game road trip against their divisional foes, the Boston Bruins and Ottawa Senators before returning home to play the former rival Colorado Avalanche on Saturday.

The Red Wings gathered for practice this morning at their practice facility inside of Little Caesars Arena, and Kane was a participant for the first portion of the skate, per beat writer Helene St. James.

Patrick Kane on the ice with Red Wings, but not taking part in lines, so doesn't look good for him being able to play Tuesday.

Has missed 4 straight games with upper-body injury. Will know more after practice

Unfortunately, Kane will not play in tomorrow's game against the Bruins (7:00 PM, FanDuel Sports Detroit, 97.1 The Ticket), per their official X account.

Per Coach Lalonde, Cam Talbot is being evaluated by a doctor today. Will know tomorrow. Patrick Kane will not be available tomorrow, hopeful for Thursday.

Kane has three goals and seven assists this year for the Red Wings, whom he agreed to return to with a one-year contract extension signed over the summer.

While he was producing at nearly a point-per-game pace last year, his offensive production hasn't been to that level - at least, not yet.
