The Detroit Red Wings are shorthanded going against the Minnesota Wild for the 2nd time in a week, and have made according lineup changes for the matchup.

The Detroit Red Wings confirmed the unfortunate news this afternoon that forward Andrew Copp will miss the remainder of the year after having undergone surgery for an injury he suffered during Saturday's 4-3 OT loss to the Minnesota Wild at Little Caesars Arena .
Coincidently, the Red Wings are facing the Wild once again just days later, though this matchup takes place in the Twin Cities at Xcel Energy Center.
Thanks to the loss of Copp, the Red Wings are inserting grinding forward Christian Fischer into the lineup for tonight's game against the Wild (8:00 PM, FanDuel Sports Detroit, 97.1 The Ticket).

The Red Wings are also short Michael Rasmussen

Additionally, the Red Wings won't have forward Michael Rasmussen; he's still feeling the effects of the dirty blind-side hit that he took from Anaheim Ducks forward Trevor Zegras during Sunday's 5-4 OT win.
Zegras was suspended for 3 games for the hit.
To serve as an extra forward, the Red Wings re-called forward Sheldon Dries from the Grand Rapids Griffins.
Tonight's anticipated Red Wings line combinations against the Wild are as follows:
Cam Talbot will get the start in the crease.
