Johansson speaks on his future with the Wings
Prospect Albert Johansson is currently in the Calder Cup playoffs with the Griffins and he has been a huge part of their blueline.
While Johansson is playing very well, he spoke to reporters how excited he is for the off-season. The 23 year old said he can't wait to get to work this summer to show up to camp even better and have a chance at making the Wings.
"We're in the playoffs here, so that's where my focus is right now," Johansson told DetroitRedWings.com on May 18. "But of course, when we're done with this season, I want to go home, work hard and get stronger. I will try to return in as good of shape as possible to fight for a spot (with the Red Wings) next season."
Clearly the young defenseman is motivated and if he does truly show up and play well, there is defiantly room on the blueline for him.
