Detroit Red Wings rookie forward Marco Kasper is on his way to the top line with Dylan Larkin and Lucas Raymond, and he's sharing his thoughts on the promotion.

The Detroit Red Wings are aiming to claim their 6th-straight victory tonight against the Chicago Blackhawks at Little Caesars Arena (7:00 PM, FanDuel Sports Detroit, 97.1 The Ticket).

In practice today, the Red Wings confirmed that Marco Kasper has been promoted to the 1st line alongside captain Dylan Larkin and Lucas Raymond, giving the rookie forward a chance to ready break out offensively.

As Kasper explained, good vibes have returned to the Red Wings' dressing room amid their season-high 5-game winning streak.

The vibes are really good in the locker room right now. Practices are really good. I think we're practicing with a really good purpose. We're just trying to get the structure in, play a structured game, play a solid 60 for minutes and go for the next win.

While Kasper has only scored twice so far in his rookie year, his level of play has improved under new head coach Todd McLellan, and the promotion is a reward for his hard work on the ice.

Meanwhile, the Red Wings know they can't be fooled by the Blackhawks record. Despite being in last place in the Western Conference, they still have several talented players on their roster, including former Red Wings forward Tyler Bertuzzi along with 2023-24 Rookie of the Year Connor Bedard.

Former Blackhawks defenseman Erik Gustafsson, now with the Red Wings, understands the necessity to be fully prepared from the opening faceoff as to avoid a trap-style game.

We know that, obviously looking at the standings, they're a great team. They have top players on their team too. We got to be ready from the start. If we play a full 60 minutes, I think we can come out on top.
