NHL Reveals First Look and Timeline of Events For Red Wings vs. Blue Jackets Stadium Series This Saturday

The league recently released a sneak peak at the transformed home of the Ohio State Buckeye as the Stadium Series game is quickly approaching on Saturday.

The NHL approved various Ohio State Buckeye designs with various aspects of their teams rich history incorporated, including leaf decals placed all over the ground.

That isn't all, the NHL took things further by releasing a reality-rendering, showing motion picture of what this historic game will look like and feature.

The stadium showcases a blue and red theme in honor of the home town, the Columbus Blue Jackets. Alongside decals of their cannon logo, and the actual cannon will be in attendance - being sounded off each time they score a goal, which for Red Wings faithful, is hopefully not often.

It will be the Blue Jackets' first time playing in an outdoor game in franchise history, they have been in the league since September of 2000.

The renowned 'famous' Ohio State Athletic band will lead the Jackets onto the ice, and will also perform the U.S. National Anthem.

During the first intermission, Twenty One Pilots, a once very popular band in the 2010's will host a performance.

During the second intermission, Ohio State will introduce their championship teams from 2024, including the football team and their women's hockey team.

The league will also pay tributes to the fallen Johnny Gaudreau and Matthew Gaudreau throughout the game.

Puck drop is scheduled for 6:00 p.m ET at Ohio Stadium this Saturday.
