It was a blowout victory for the Detroit Red Wings against the Seattle Kraken, and the official Red Wings social media team had some (good-natured) fun at their visitor's expense!

Sunday afternoon's opening 20 minutes of play for the Detroit Red Wings was possibly the most fun they'd had in a single period all year.

Before the visiting Seattle Kraken could blink, the Red Wings built up a 4-0 lead.

The Red Wings social media team had some fun at the Kraken's expense, re-posting a graphic they made during their 1st period yesterday against the Buffalo Sabres with an updated caption:

And Red Wings fans appreciated the good-natured humour at Seattle's situation.

Well played, admin, well played!

The Red Wings raced out to a 4-0 1st period lead over the Kraken

Marco Kasper got the fun started, deflecting a shot by Dylan Larkin past Philipp Grubauer for his 2nd goal in as many games:

J.T. Compher then deflected the puck past Grubauer for a quick 2nd goal:

Just moments into their 1st power play chance, Alex DeBrincat blasted a shot off the back bar of the net and out:

And finally, Erik Gustafsson dished a sneaky pass to a wide open Patrick Kane, who scored the easiest goal he's had in quite some time:
