An outspoken Red Wings fan on social media reports that season ticket packages for the Labatt Blue Club are increasing nearly 400% for next year, a massive upcharge.

While there's nothing quite like supporting one's favorite club in person, the harsh reality is that it's a business and sometimes, loyal fans will get priced out.

Such is the case, it appears, with a particular section at Little Caesars Arena, home of the Detroit Red Wings.

An outspoken Red Wings fan on social media indicated that season ticket package prices for the Labatt Blue Club are skyrocketing for next year.

The Labatt Blue Club is described as a lounge that "features unique views of the stadium, Detroit-centric decor and a great atmosphere for socializing."

The fan wrote the following update:

I made a post about this over the weekend but I wasn't able to talk to a rep about the situation and get more details until today. The Red Wings have decided to transform the Labatt Blue Club section into another one of the stadium's all-inclusive clubs. Included in the prices of the tickets will be parking, food and drink. All current season ticket holders in the section will be seeing a near 400% increase in package price next season.

As of right now, there is no plan to grandfather current season ticket holders or to offer any option to opt out of the all-inclusive package. My rep straight up admitted that this is purely am only making move by the organization and they are aiming for the $200/game price point. This increase will likely push out almost every current season ticket holder in the section and the organization is offering zero apology or compensation to the loyal fans who have held tickets in the section for years. This is a disgraceful display of greed and disloyalty to the season ticket holder that have supported them through the years.

If you are a season ticket holder anywhere in the arena you need to call your rep and loudly voice your displeasure with this decision. If they are going to treat us in the LBC this way, you might be next.

Not far away from Little Caesars Arena, many Detroit Lions have been squeezed out of being able to afford season tickets at Ford Field; some season ticket prices increased as much as 67% for this year compared to last.
