Red Wings Goalie Prospect re-signs with Grand Rapids Griffins
Big news for the Detroit Red Wings as their young promising goalie Jan Bednar re-signs a one year contract extension with the AHL's Grand Rapids Griffins.
The 21 year old net minder is now one step closer to the NHL as he is now signed with the Red Wings farm team in Grand Rapids. Bednar is coming off a solid 2024 campaign in the ECHL where he posted a 22-7-2 winning record with the Toledo Walleye. His stats were a respectable 2.66 GAA and a .901 SP in 36 regular-season games.
With the Detroit Red Wings goaltender situation hanging in the balance next season, we could see the likes of Jan Bednar making his pro debut sooner than anticipated.
