The Red Wings have not had a lottery pick in many years but have still managed to have one of the top prospect pools in the NHL.

According to Scouting Magazine, the Red Wings have plenty of young prospects that are ready for the NHL.

On defense, it seems the Wings are loaded with prospect which is great timing since the team struggled in that department last year. Simon Edvinsson is the top Wings prospect and the defenseman is almost guaranteed a spot on the roster for next season. According to reports, it seems there are quite a few prospects set to make the roster next season which proves just how strong the pool is.

Edvinsson is the lone player among McKeen's top 10 Detroit prospects expected to make the season-opening NHL roster. Several others likely will be playing for the Grand Rapids Griffins centers Nate Danielson (No. 2) and Marco Kasper (No. 3), goaltender Sebastian Cossa (No. 5), winger Carter Mazur (No. 7) and defensemen William Wallinder (No. 8) and Shai Buium (No. 9).

Even player such as Albert Johansson would did not even make the top 10 list for top Wing prospect is set to make the team next season.

These reports prove just how strong the Red Wings future truly is which has a lot of fans excited.
