Report: UFA Patrick Kane to sign with the Rangers
After being traded to the New York Rangers from the Blackhawks, Patrick Kane felt he had unfinished business with the team due to a major hip injury. Now he may want to re-sign with them as a UFA.
Dailyfaceoff.com Frank Seravalli explained on the Morning Cuppa Hockey that after Patrick Kane was traded to the New York Rangers from the Blackhawks, Kane felt that the business wasn't finished with the team as he was dealing with a major injury to his hip.
Eager to make amends, Kane underwent hip resurfacing surgery last summer and then signed with the Detroit Red Wings.
He had a good second half of the season with 47 points in 50 games, contributing significantly to the team's push for a playoff spot. Despite speculation that he might move to another team, the Rangers may have secured Kane. Only time will tell if Rangers general manager Chris Drury has successfully brought Kane on board.
