With the NHL off season in full effect, the Detroit Red Wings are on the hunt to find suitable UFA's to join next seasons campaign.

The Detroit Red Wings find themselves in a tough position this offseason. Red Wings GM Steve Yzerman has lots nearly a quarter of his offensive fire power to free agency, as well as the mounting complexities of a tight salary cap.
Despite the struggles Steve Yzerman faces, the Red Wings take a look at the talented UFA's still prime for the picking. One name in particular stands out as a suitable replacement for the gaping holes left behind by departing players. Could Jack Roslovic be the answer?
Jack Roslovic, 27, brings a boat load of skill and expertise to his arsenal. The New York Ranger right winger is coming off a successful campaign in the empire state and is looking for a new place to call home.
In 40 games with the Blue Jackets this season, he scored 23 points in a largely second line role. With the Rangers, depth slotted him into the bottom six where he scored eight points in 19 games. Roslovic is in the final season of a two-year contract ($4 million average annual value) he signed with the Blue Jackets on June 7, 2022, and can become an unrestricted free agent after this season.

Jack Roslovic would be a key depth player for the Red Wings moving forward and could be signed under a respectable short-term value contract. Should Steve Yzerman pull the trigger?
