Trey Augustine keep proving he's special
Trey Augustine keep showing he's worth a shot in the NHL has he had 20 saves out of 21 shots in the 4-1 win against Poland.
Most of his saves were in the 1st period (11) and some were spectacular. In total, he made 20 saves and had a save percentage of 95.24%.
Team USA is currently in the preliminary round sitting 2nd in the Group B of the Tournament. They are just behind Sweden. The 41st overall pick by the Red Wings in 2023 looks like he will have a great future with the club. He's having good performances in the tournament and he takes every opportunity that comes to him.
He played for the Michigan State University 35 games in 2023/2024. His team finished with a record of 23-9-2 with a GAA of 2.96.
Now the Michigan native might have a chance to play in the big league next season and the way he keeps playing, he might earn a spot in the starting lineup for the Wings.
More to come.
