The Detroit Red Wings take on the Ottawa Senators tomorrow night, who just announced a concerning health update.

The Detroit Red Wings have now won 4 straight games under new head coach Todd McLellan, who replaced Derek Lalonde behind the bench on December 26.

McLellan has brought a completely new aura to the team, who have openly stated that their confidence has improved while their outlook has gotten far more positive.

They'll take on the divisional foe Ottawa Senators tomorrow night at Little Caesars Arena (7:00 PM, FanDuel Sports Detroit, 97.1 The Ticket), who defeated them in a heartbreaking 2-1 loss earlier this year after Michigan's own Josh Norris scored with under a minute left in regulation.

However, the Senators have announced a discouraging health update with one of their prize offseason acquisitions.

Goaltender Linus Ullmark, whom they acquired from the Boston Bruins in exchange for the underperforming Joonas Korpisalo and quickly signed to a multi-year extension, has been labeled "week to week" with an upper-body injury.

He originally suffered the injury during a December 22 game against the Edmonton Oilers.

Ullmark made 19 saves against Detroit in the 2-1 win.

1st- year Senators coach Travis Green explained the injury, saying that while Ullmark is rehabbing, it's the situation they find themselves in.

He has not been on the ice yet. There's concern on everyone [who's injured], but it is what it is. He's rehabbing and showing improvements, so that's a good sign.

We're mentally ready to win 2-1. But I think if you watched practice today, there was an emphasis on a lot of puck touches and getting the feel for the puck again. I don't think we've handled the puck very well recently, and for me that's the first step, but there's a lot more in the NHL that goes into scoring goals than just making nice plays.

How much of an advantage is not facing Linus Ullmark for the Red Wings tomorrow vs. the Sens?
