The Detroit Red Wings have now won four consecutive games under coach Todd McLellan, and a "good feeling" has returned to the dressing room.

The Detroit Red Wings have now earned 4 consecutive victories under new head coach Todd McLellan, who entered an extraordinarily difficult situation on December 26.

Following a 5-2 defeat to the Toronto Maple Leafs in his 1st game back behind the Red Wings bench, the Red Wings have since much more closely resembled the team from last year that built a 9-point lead from the cutoff point in the standings in the postseason race.

Last night's 4-2 win over the NHL-leading Winnipeg Jets was a clear indicator that things are different now in Hockeytown.

Goalie Alex Lyon, who picked up his 3rd straight win with 21 stops, gave full marks to the Red Wings power play unit (2-for-3) while also crediting his teammates for helping to shut down Winnipeg's man advantage.

Obviously a very dangerous team, but we've gotta keep it rolling. Whether we win or lose, we're set out to play the right way. Fortunately, we got the win against a very good team.

It feels good, but we've got a lot more work to do. We'll enjoy it for a little bit and then move on. They've got such a dangerous power play. But our power play has been clicking all year, so credit to those guys to keep it rolling. Again, they've got a good D-core and good goalie.

Lyon then explained that the "good feeling" has made its way back into the Red Wings dressing room after things were exceedingly bleak entering the Christmas break.

t just feels good, the 1st half of this year has been tough at times, so it's nice to have a good feeling back in the room.
